About

We are a creative design consultancy, based in our lovely studio just outside Worcester. We all have a true passion for design – it's a requirement!

Maros Holmes pride ourselves on having excellent relationships with our clients – we always go the extra mile to learn about our customers. We visit them in person; we watch, listen, research, generate creative ideas and see them through, whether it's a simple business card, a film or a full marketing campaign.

The Team

Helen Holmes, Creative Director

Helen has over twenty five years of experience in the industry, having graduated from De Montfort University in 1990. Helen worked in ad agencies such as Solomon Oakley in Birmingham, and The Design Centre as Studio Manager looking after a number of business-to-business and business-to-consumer accounts. Having learned so much working in these exciting and fast moving environments, Helen became Director of Design at the University of Birmingham – her team of 15 looked after everything visual at the University, from Prospectuses and course brochures through to the website, signage and exhibitions and conferences. Event Management was also the team's responsibility, the highlight being the Queen's visit for the University's Centenary and Tony Blair's address to the nation which was televised live. In 2005 Helen set up Maros Holmes Design, with clients such as CrownGate shopping centre in Worcester, Edgbaston High School for Girls and University of Worcester. The business grew and developed and moved into a lovely new studio in Kempsey in 2011 and became Maros Holmes Creative. Helen also lectures part-time at the University of Worcester at degree level Graphic Design and Multimedia. At Maros Holmes Creative Helen looks after the accounts, meeting with clients and managing every stage of the creative and design process. Her passion is for spacial design and styling, the detali of typography, and she enjoys listening to cients, understanding their requirements and making their dream a reality.

We couldn't tick without our team

Wendy Corbett - Wendy is Helen's right hand woman, and looks after web and digital work. The range of clients the team look after is immense and so Wendy never knows what Helen has in line for her next, but nevertheless always makes it happen.

Nigel Garbett - Helen and Nige worked together back in the 90s and have been firm friends ever since. Nige has a plethera of traditional design experience and is the designer behind much of our print work, especially larger publications such as annual reviews, and typographic logos.

Richard Nicholls - another graduate from University of Worcester, Richard is our tech expert. When we come up with crazy ideas, Richard is the one who makes them work. He also has a passion for photography.

Andy Jones - our film expert, who will always go the extra mile. He even climbs trees to get that perfect shot.

We also like to employ interns each year to help and nurture one or two specially selected graduates, who we feel have a real talent and a promising future. Although we are sad to see them go, we are immensely proud to see them move into fantastic agency roles.

Bruno
, Studio Dog

Maybe the most important job of all - Bruno makes us smile and keeps our feet warm.

Have a look through our website – each image tells a story of the work we produce. We don't just sit in our warm, cozy studio, drinking coffee, in front of our macs all day - our job is so much more than that – we are out and about with our clients, getting our hands dirty. And we love it.
